Neal has been developing PIGEONHOLE with Jasmine Sharma, which is a 2026 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize Finalist. He also is currently developing work with Abi Zakarian, Nicholas Brown, and Prashant Nashi.

Neal is a Brooklyn-based director & writer of theatre, film, & television. In his work, Neal mines for magic in search of the extraordinary. He creates visual, sonic, and physical languages to craft innovative experiences. Neal disrupts the norm to create sustainable, inclusive practices while remaining rigorous and ambitious in his concepts and scope. He embraces any limitations and practical realities, producing work that is always dynamic, imaginative and singular.

Neal is currently the Associate Director of Fear of 13 on Broadway, written by Lindsey Ferrentino and starring Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson. 

Previously, he was Associate Director of Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway, starring George Clooney and Ilana Glazer and made his Broadway debut as Associate Director of Prayer for the French Republic.

Neal co-created, co-wrote, and directed a pilot for televison, Happycakes, produced by Nina Jorge.

Neal was previously the Artistic Producer at Hypokrit Live Arts, which developed and produced stories exclusively by global majority artists.

Neal has developed work at Manhattan Theatre Club, The Public, Ars Nova, Geffen Playhouse, Berkeley Rep & The BRIC and has taught at Rutgers, NYU-Tisch, & ArtsBridge. He is an alumnus of Roundabout Directors Group and is a member of SDC. 

Neal trained at Rutgers University (Mason Gross), Shakespeare’s Globe, & Interlochen Arts Academy.
